Wednesday Wisdom Drop: The Emotional Landscape of the Solar Plexus
Let’s talk about emotions—and the way we experience them through the Solar Plexus Center in Human Design.
Right now, about 46.88% of people have a defined Solar Plexus, meaning they experience an emotional wave. This isn’t just about having emotions—it’s about feeling everything in cycles, riding highs and lows, and needing time to reach clarity before making decisions.
For those with an undefined Solar Plexus, the experience is entirely different. They don’t generate their own emotional waves, but instead, they absorb and amplify the emotions of those around them. They are the emotional empaths of the world, often feeling emotions even bigger than the person experiencing them firsthand. Without awareness, this can feel overwhelming, leading to emotional confusion and even burnout.
I recently worked with a mother of three who has an undefined Solar Plexus, but two of her children have defined Solar Plexus centers. Every time one of them…
I have been feeling the amplified emotions of those around me! I have to remind myself throughout the day to pause and reflect on what I am feeling and then find the why. This may look like stepping away from a person or situation just so I can check in with myself. It has definitely been helpful and I am grateful to know I need to be doing this because I have an undefined solar plexus.
